Oh man, I watched Pirates of Silicon Valley and it's the best movie ever about how these guys started out. I mean, I don't know if it's totally true or not, but there's a couple great scenes in it. In one, IBM says to Gates that they don't care about the software because the real money is in selling computers. The other is when Hewlett Packard asks one of the Apple guys why anyone would want a computer for personal use. Their greatness? They somehow knew what the big guys didn't..the future.

cool i was looking this up to figure out how to clean a raccoon skeleton. Mine was way cleaner, didnt even smell because i left it there for a few weeks after i found it to let nature do the really nasty smelly part. The downside of that is that wild creatures pull apart the carcass and the bones get scattered so it takes some work to find them all, especially the small ones. i just have to boil and bleach now. though boiling shrinks the bones, that's the downside.

I remember the day well. I was in the sales force, and we were attending a week-long Apple conference in Honolulu. Lisa had been out for 2 years but doing poorly. We were all herded, Hawaiian shirts and all, into the hall inside the Royal Hawaiian hotel (the old pink building next to the modern Sheraton on Waikiki) and Jobs did his thing. Keep in mind we were fighting for life against the IBM PC and DOS. Mac promised a cheap yet WYSIWYG experience. We were thrilled.

Thats how the expansion is supposed to occur. It's common for countries to go more than 100% of their GDP in debt on occasion until growth resumes. I really don't think we'll see an Austrian style economy here any time soon. Both parties are big spenders. It's just a matter of who gets the money.
